The Wiślica commune is located in the Southern part of the Świętokrzyskie province, along Nida River, near its confluence with the Vistula and in the central and Southern part of the Ponidzie Landscape Park Complex. It belongs to a group of the oldest towns in Poland which origins date back to the times before the establishment of the Polish state.
Monuments: Basilica of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary from 1350, Dlugosz House -a vicarage from 1460, St. Nicholas Church - remains of a Romanesque church from the 10th century, a Stronghold with traces of defensive walls from the 11th-12th centuries.
